Or had a transplant at all? My "specialist" will not list me on the national list which is required even if you have a living donor who is 100% compatable. I'm not a fool, no insurance company on earth wants to pay for it (Mine dropped me in the beginning of September.) Was it a coincidence that all my deductibles were met? I kid, if course it wasn't! I'd just like to see if anyone has a success story! Thanks!
I have the same problem only I'm more advanced. Nine yrs. ago I was given six months to live and was unable to get on the donor list. Had to wait til I was worse then went to far. My honest understanding is, you can't live without a liver so therefore, a person in need has to wait for another to pass that has a healthy liver. That's basically why we have a list. I wish I had better news. One thing I can say is to make sure you take your medications and try your best not to cause anymore damage. My thoughts and prayers go out to you.
