just had a para med for life insurance was taking 20 mg of Lisinopril, but my blood pressure got higher so went up to 40mg, but still sometimes change my dosage back to 20mg... been taking only 20 mg for the last couple of days this morning, about 1 to 2 hours before the para medical lady came I took 40 mg, but my blood pressure was 162 / 102... do you suppose that was enough time to kick in ???
Why do you fluctuate your dosage? What has the doctor ordered you to take? No 1-2 hours is not enough time for a good response. Switching your dose around isn't a very good idea. By the time you react to having a high bp and take more, you've endangered your body to things like kidney damage and stroke.
