I am 25 and was just prescribed this med. for BP 140-160/80-100. I was curious if there are any problems mixing the Lisinopril and drinking alcohol?
Lisinopril is a prescription medicine it is licensed to treat several conditions related to the heart and blood vessels. Some uses of the medication include:
Controlling high blood pressure (hypertension)
Treating congestive heart failure
Improving survival following a heart attack.
However, it is not a cure for high blood pressure or congestive heart failure.
It is generally not recommended to take alcohol in large quantities, alcohol may increase blood pressure, however please do seek professional advice for the doc/pharmacist who prescribed the med.
Take care, be safe & well!
