I take Lipitor 40 mg and even with my insurance it cost to much to afford. My insurance recommends ATORVASTATIN 80 MG which would cost me very little. My doctor helps out with samples but doesn't always have them. My question is would the atorvastatin 80 mg be as good as lipitor 40 mg?
For the most part it will do everything that lipitor does. I switched to a generic long ago because it was impossible to take lipitor on my income. Now I have medicare and with the generic, I don't pay anything for it. My cholesterol stays down with the generic.
