I developed acute and severe pancreatitis. I am not an alcoholic druggie. They found no stones . I was told it could have been the Lipidil what caused it.
It's a rare side effect - 0%-0.1%. Lipidil is prescribed for Hyperlipidemia. Hyperlipidemia can cause scarring in the pancreatic duct. When the scarring closes/blocks the duct, the pancreatic juices are not released: they stay in the pancreas and inflame it (pancreatitis). Keep working with your physician to get some definite answers.
