My new doctor is telling me that by law she can only prescribe up to 9 naratriptan a month. I've never had this problem before. Should I be looking for a new doctor?
I have the same medicine for migraines and the reason they can only prescribe 9 a month is because if you take that certain medication too often it won't work anymore. I asked my doctor why she only gave me 9 for the whole month and this is what she told me. She also mentioned that I shouldn't take it 2 days in a row either. You can ask your doctor to raise the dose if taking one doesn't work. I needed to raise mine for 50mg to 100mg and it was worked much better.
