Did you know that 90% of people who started taking Lyrica, gained weight, and yet there are so many people are finding that Lyrica has given them their life back again. I am in no way, shape or form advocating for Lyrica. I'm just telling you what I read while researching something else. I think it's kind of interesting. God be with you, my lil chickes, Love, Anna
Your question was at the top of the list this morning and am I ever glad I checked it first. You sound so upbeat and cheery it improved my morning immensely. Thank you.
And to continue with the theme - I was one of the few who didn't gain weight on Lyrica and it worked so well for my pain. I wish it hadn't been so hard on the memory though. I really wasn't aware that it was a problem myself until I was tapering off, but my hubbie just hated it and when my doctor wanted me to go back on it hubbie said no way lol. But if things get too painful I will take it again.
While nobody wants to grow out of their clothes, it's better to have a decent life. I keep trying to lose weight- and I just can't seem to do it. and it's all in my gut. I ordered shoes from LL Bean; it usually has a pretty good fit. They are horrible. The heels are real wide, and they slip up and down, sideways-but the toe pinches. This is the first pair that I had to return.
I'm just going to have to brave the radiation type blasts from the windshield and drive to store to store. The chaplain said that many radiation patients feel this way- that we're cooking in the vehicle. What makes me mad is that this used to be a city where stores and banks opened up about 6:30, men wore western boots, and anything you wanted was on a shelf. Now you have the same products in every store- no variation. If you call the twits-they say they have it, but you drive over- and they don't. They say they'll order it for you and they don't. Darling just enjoy the good when you can get it. Who would think that radiation would cause weight gain?
Thanks Anna it is nice to know that I am one of many, but when there is a choice weight or pain its a no brainer isn't it.
I have been on Lyrica for three months and citalopram (celexa) for 7 years. Made a decision to wean off of the citalopram. I used to take it for panic attacks and it really made me gain weight, lost a few pounds already and I not even going to worry if the Lyrica will do the same. I guess when you are suffering with this damned awful pain who cares about gaining a few pounds.
I am really trying to stay positive and the Lyrica certainly works most of the time. Where would I be without it ???
love to all Lizzie
