my doctor started me on phentermine this week. the idea is that I will remain on it for 3 months and slowly taper off. the goal is to get control of my hunger and cravings. I'm concerned about maintaining any weight loss that I might achieve after I get off of the medicine. those of you that have lost weight on phentermine and are no longer on it, have you been able to maintain the weight? As far as cravings and appetite are concerned, do you notice better control?
What is life like after phentermine?

My Dr put me on Phentermine October 1st & as of today I've lost over 20 pounds. I took Phentermine 4 years ago and I lost 100 pounds. But, my previous Dr allowed me to stay on Phentermine for one year. After I lost all of the weight 4 years ago I was in a car accident & went through a very stressful divorce & gained every bit back plus some. So, this Dr will only allow me to take it 3 months & I know for a Fact if I don't stick with my changed eating habits & drinking the water I do I will gain it right back. That's the downfall of Phentermine. And, sorry for the long story just trying to tell you what's happened with me :) I do feel once you stop Phentermine it is hard to control the appetite
