time it progressed I'm what you call a bendge drinker due to deppressin and childhood trauma I substituted acohol for drugs I drank more than I ate and hardly drang other fluids but I aburtly stopped due to a new job I got fired for having withdrwals at work I went the er recently from a withdrwal they treated me sent me home on Librium it didn't seem to work as prescribed so I took about 4 and the withdrwak stoped but I relapsed if I have a withdrwal should I take a more Librium which dsent really work much a Xanax which works better or drink
I normally wouldn't help an alcoholic: any job that requires sobriety these days infers random drug tests, which Xanax would not pass in most likelihood. Give up drinking; easier now than later. (don't know anything about librium sorry but am familiar with the whole alcohol trip).
Clarissa; NO YOU MUST STOP THE DRINKING NOW and only that the Librium as it says on the bottle it is not real easy keep yourself busy but Librium is really the drug of choice for alcohol withdrawals and they well not give you any more if you go back way to early and try and get another prescription. You see the Librium just cuts the edge off and the longer you go without alcohol the less the craving. Please don't take more than what it says and be ready to fight it out.IF it's really too hard you might have to go back to the E.R. aND Talk with the doctor I don't know what dose but there is no way anyone is going to help you if you go in smelling of alcohol.Get your head on and use what the doctor gave you and take it only as it says. you don't want to mix the Librium with alcohol. you are young now is the time to get it together before its too late.
