Do I need a higher % of this gel?
The only reason I can see you being prescribed this is to reduce inflammation. What you have been given is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory gel for topical application. Is it possible this is just a step in the process? From what you describe here, has surgery been recommended to fix the tear?
You haven't been given anything for pain. Lots doctors don't want to get involved with pain management if it isn't going to lead to some corrective measure... like surgery, for instance. Did you see a surgeon for this diagnosis?
If you can fill in some of the blanks... perhaps we can give you more feedback.
