Lexapro and tryptophan please respond!?
I am on a high protein diet (160-170g) which is important to me and I will not change this. Today, I just started lexapro 5mg, but tryptophan can have a reaction with lexapro and can cause serotonin syndrome. Do they mean only tryptophan supplements? Is naturally occurring tryptophan in chicken, eggs, milk, oats and in my protein shake okay? My protein shake is optimum nutrition gold standard whey protein isolate and it has naturally occurring amino acids. It says it has tryptophan at 450mg per serving (I have two servings).

You can Google Optimum nutrition gold standard whey protein isolate amino acid profile for the exact information
