I have been on Lexapro for 5 years. I am beginning to feel depressed again. I am exhausted. My life consists of working and sleeping. I have been on 20mg dose for 4 years. Does Abilify help Lexapro work better?
Hello dbzz. Yes it can lose its effectiveness. It is likely time to have your dose adjusted. More often than not a increase or another drug is picked to take its place. Regards pledge
Yes, Abilify would enhance the effectiveness of the Lexapro. You are on the max dose of Lexapro so if the Abilify doesn't help then it maybe time to change antidepressants. Unfortunately this has to be done periodically for some, but fortunately there are many to choose from. I have to change my antidepressant about every 5 years and I also take Abilify and have for more years than I can remember.
