Hello lynnep. No. However, a cough might be as a result of the Lexapro interacting with another drug/medication that is being taken. Regards pledge

You might notify your doctor. The cough could possibly be a allergic reaction to taking the drug,

Lexapro didn't make me cough, but I did notice the first couple of weeks I had a strange urge to gag. Not nausea or vomiting per se, just a feeling that my gag reflex was firing for no reason.
