My Dr. just upped my dosage to 20MG a couple days ago as I wasn't noticing any difference with the 10MG. How will I know if it's working or not? How long should it take for the 20MG to kick in?
Hi, jerri!! You'll know when you start feeling better and it's not unusual to up your dose several times every few weeks. As a rule, it takes about 4 weeks to start feeling some benefits but it can take as long as 6-8 weeks to get the full effect.
Try to be patient and be aware of subtle changes; since you've already been taking the low dose and are now at the recommended maintenance dose you might find you'll be feeling good soon.
Good luck to you! WCV
jerricaf; Yes WCV; Gave you all the right info as always, Just remember when they up the dose which is normal to get you to the normal dose you may feel some of the side effects you might have gotten when you started but they don't last long so just hang in there and you well know just by how you are feeling that the medication is helping, Try and be patient and give it a good trial to see how it works for you Lots of people use this one and do very well on it. Have a good day
