... regular basis, takes the medication at different times and shows symptoms of hypothyroidism. She does not get regular doctor followup and has forbid me to talk with her doctors. What should I do?
Her dr knows what she's doing. All he has to do is look at her tests. I once had a friend who would not keep her blood sugar under control. She would not listen to me about the consequences. I finally had to tell her I'm not her keeper, and she can do what she wants but don't come crying to me when the side effects happen. When people want to deny their illness there is nothing you can do about it.
She is on her way to a lot of trouble it effects your whole system, it takes months to get it stable, she should take it first thing every morning with a glass of water wait 30 minutes and eat, how hard could that be... to be yourself, and go every three to six months and get it checked, trust me when I say when she gets bad enough she'll go, but it will take that much longer to get it stable. some people want listen until they get there, sounds like she is not to far away.
