I been on this medicine for 3 days and i lost my energy I've come deppressed and grumpy with my kids i had symptoms before so i don't think i need this medication im a single mom i can't afford to be tired grumpy and depressed
You cannot decide if you need a medication like this. The need is decided by what your blood studies say. Being low on thyroid hormone can cause permanent harm to your body. It is like insulin. Necessary for our body to function. Perhaps you are suffering from depression too. But you can't figure that out until your thyroid is back to normal or close to it.
There are other options. My doctor put me on synthroid-then increased it-then added cytomel-then decreased cytomel-now decreased synthroid. (using brand names here but taking the generics-that can have an effect too). You and I are in the same boat & this is a frustrating journey that has just started for me 2 months ago. I think I might be close to the right combination... you will be too eventually. Yesterday was the first day in at least a decade that I felt great! Only 2 cups of coffee-energy to exercise-slept like a baby. Be comforted knowing that if you are diligent and willing to be change drugs often to find the right stuff... it'll work :)
