... effects of the medication?
Hi I have been on thyroxine for 28 years ,, and no effects yet , only when I miss a few pills , if I run out or forget to take them ,, busy life ,, very active and have felt so much better for taking them ... most I have missed was a week and then just felt tired and bloated , but fine again after a few days back on meds ...
I agree with the others here.. the only long term are some main side effects.. with me I've been on this med for over 35 years ( I was diagnosed at age 3 ) when I forget to take them or run out after about 2 weeks I get fatigued quicker , slight depression sets in and my hands tingle more but that's about it.. nothing drastic. I'm so glad that I do not suffer from all the symptoms wow that would suck !
