... having leg and back pain after about day 3 or so. I have severe swelling in my joints as well as extreme pain in my legs. Is this going to stop at some point?
I was treated for pneumonia about 15 years ago, and my overall malaise was so great, I'm not sure I could say anywhere that didn't hurt. But, my back was my particular focus, so I am guessing it is case dependent. Was 10 days considered a full course of your medication? I'm curious because my recollection is that I took the antibiotics until symptoms subsided, then five more days. Our society is so inured by overuse of these drugs, perhaps you're one of the tolerant ones and more will be needed to fully rein in the nasty bugs. It cannot hurt to speak with the doctor as you do not want to have to start all over again.
