I started on levo a few weeks ago. Now it seems I am starving all the time and eating more than I am used to. Can this be a side effect? I thought if anything I would loose weight on levo... at this rate I will gain!

Changes to appetite, increased appetite and weight loss are all reported side effects of levothyroxine. It is important to discuss this with your doctor.

I've been taking this for 3 years & have not noticed an increase in appetite. Are you taking other RX's? It could be the combo of the drugs reacting & causing you to crave certain foods. I always crave chocolate but now my hubby knows we can't be out of it. I just realized maybe levo does intensify our desire for certain foods or levo mixed with other RX cause food desires.
