I need to know what the lethal dose is of venlaflaxine, dont worry, whoever answers , its not a question designed for what you think.
Hi, OVER!! There's no specific answer to your question because there have been relatively few venlafaxine lethal overdoses and of those, with a very few exceptions, there has been the presence of co-ingestants such as other drugs and usually alcohol.
The lethal dose (LD50) for a male laboratory rat is 700mg/kg. The average small man weighs about 70-75kg. Doing the math that's a lot of Effexor.
And not a nice way to go either as it would likely cause serotonin syndrome ~ sweating, agitation, confusion, high fever, seizures, diarrhea, arrhythmias, unconciousness...
Hope this helps. Best wishes! WCV
