Before I run to the emergency room or to my doctor's office I am wondering if someone has experienced what I am having a problem with. It's not a headache, it's a head ache and its on the back left side of my head and its traveling along to my neck. Its also starting to travel across the top of my head, very tender to touch any area affected. I do have MS so I'm thinking it might be MS related. I have doctor appointments all in September, my routine 3.6 months checkups but I don't think I can wait that long or if there is some simple explanation. It feels like when you make a quick turn of your neck and you get that tingling neck pain thats lasts a few seconds, only mine is non-stop and spreading.
Left side back head ache, not headache, pain is crippling me any help?

Having been diagnosed with celluilitis and going through the entire 7 day treatment and still not getting better I made the decision to make an appointment with my dermatologist. Seeking a diagnosis is tough where I live but that's a whole other story.
So I tell the dermatologist the exact sequence of events leading up to this appointment and she tells me she doesn't think it was celluilitis at all. It didn't fit the pattern and it should of cleared up with the antibotic's (which it didn't).
It turns out I have shingles. It's one of those diseases that I have heard about but didn't actually know what it was. She said she had never seen it on someone's head but nonetheless that's where it's located on my body. I had this idea in my head that shingles is a sexually transmitted disease, don't know why but that is what I thought.
She said I really should seek treatment with a neurologist since shingles involves the nervous system. I was shocked because from the beginning I thought the last person I would need to see is a neurologist. But then I didn't know what I had. Fortunately for me I already had my 6 month appointment with my neurologist set for this coming Friday. Had I known this was neurologically related I would have already been diagnosed and treated and this would have been done and over with. My neurologist is the only doctor I have in my group of doctors that would have seen me the day that I called and whom I have the best relationship with.
The dermatologist took a biopsy of my scab on my head but said unfortunately she wouldn't have the results back until after my neurology appointment.
I just spent almost all of my monthly amount of money after my bills are paid from my Social Security check and I'm still counting because I still have all these different followup appointments for the rest of the month. So now I have to go into my savings to survive the rest of the month. This sucks! Wish there was a better way to get healthcare done without having to make appointments with 5 different doctors until I finally get to the right doctor for the disease I have.

Maybe you could say the same things to people, in other words. Words that heal and console. It might be a good idea to think about peoples hearts. What if this persons question is one that requires sensitivity and gentleness? Are you able to provide that? We need your wisdom a lot. We would love it if you consider our hearts. Anna
I never know what order answers are suppose to be. I haven't heard from you and wanted to know if you got this message. Could you please do that? I don't feel at peace. Thank you. God be with you. Anna

I've had a pain on the left side of my head for two years now. Doctors see nothing wrong. I've done?
