I'll start by mentioning I probably have untreated anxiety so I'm not sure if this pain is stemming from that or a serious issue. No family medical history besides diabetes and anxiety on my dad's side. This pain is like a cramp in my heart and goes towards my left armpit and occasionally I feel cramping in my left arm, shoulder to fingers. It seems to get worse in the evenings. I have 4 children and am a stay at home mother, do not take drugs, do not drink, do not smoke cigarettes, and rarely take headache medications so no prescriptions. I also have gained 40 pounds in the last 2 years putting me at the over weight mark. Should I be concerned since it's my heart hurting or not because it's been 3 weeks and I'm still breathing? Thank you for your time!
Hi MammaP - As a heart attack survivor I strongly suggest you get checked out immediately.
ANY chest pain that goes on as you have described needs to be diagnosed. Not saying you have had a heart attack, but something is not right. Get in to your GP asap, they should then call for some tests or refer you to someone based on your symptoms. Tell them everything, it could help them help you.Best wishes, ChelleKay
