... doesn’t use it (nor know of it). I am also having trouble obtaining psychiatrists at all. Does anyone know what other specialists would prescribe it for this type of depression? Neurologist, Internist? Etc?
Hi, Tiger! Since Mirapex is prescribed for Parkinson's disease... off label for MDD as it's not FDA approved for this use... a neurologist is a possibility but I highly doubt one would be willing to prescribe for a psychiatric disorder.
I know what it's like trying to find a psychiatrist... I recently moved to rural NY and have been seeing a Nurse Practitioner for almost a year while waiting for a psych appointment!
Best regards and good luck to you. Have you explored all other medication options like SSRI's, SSNRI's, and the atypical antidepressants? How about Latuda?
