I sometimes get the hizentra leaking back out where the needle goes in the skin. I'be been doing these treatments since December of last year. They really work well for me. I have not been hospitalized at all with any COPD flareups since I started.
Welcome to the site! I've been using Hizentra for about 3 years (but IgG infusions for 9 years). When I first started, I had 3 sites. I found that it leaked around the needles and I formed hard knots at the infusion sites that would stay for months. I talked to CSL Behring and they recommended that I go to 4 sites. That solved both problems. Do you think you can increase the number of sites? Do you alternate your infusions between your belly and your inside thighs? I've found that if I infuse my belly 2 weeks in a row that I get a little seepage after I remove the needles. I also gently massage the 4 infusion sites to help the IgG absorb into the surrounding tissue. I'm like you, I'll deal with the minor issues of the treatments because they work so well for me. I get a sinus or ear infection a few times a year, but nothing like the bronchitis, strep throat, sinus and ear infections I got before I started the IgG. I hope this helps to answer your question.
