The medication you are talking about is probably Lasix (Furosemide) a diuretic (I'll vouch that it causes constipation in me)? Laxis is a Latin word that translates to 'loose'.
You may need to make use of a laxative like psyllium husk fiber (metamucil and other names) or a chemical laxative to get things moving again. Increase your dietary fiber intake also.
