I've always had issues with depression and mood swings all my life definitely been manic... I got diagnosed with bipolar no type yet but I started Latuda two days ago how long does it take?
Most antidepressants are very activating for a bipolar person, and can cause them to go manic, so a physician needs to be very selective when adding an antidepressant. There are a few that seem to be safe, but I don't see any reason why you should take an antidepressant if your physician didn't feel it was necessary. You said that you've struggled with depression your whole life... so have you taken antidepressants before?
How long does Latuda take? Well, I'm sure that's different per individual, but it's not going to be like *BING* hey, it works today! :-) You're going to notice a gradual decrease in your negative symptoms as the days go by, until you suddenly realize how much your life has improved, and you hadn't even noticed it. Give it several weeks, unless you have unpleasant side effects.
