its not balancing me out and I really need something for that as I get irritated and have broken a TV and punched 2 holes in walls in the past 6 weeks, I doubt its anything I'm on as I was worse before and have been on the same meds for 4 months and then only going to Latuda from Risperidone changed. What about Seroquel xr, Depakote, Trileptal, or lithium would 1 of those work with Latuda? I need help
Hi agin, howie! Latuda isn't meant to be a mood stabilizer the only one of which is lithium which I've taken for almost 4 years and absolutely LOVE!
The anticonvulsants ~ Depakote, Lamictal, gabapentin, Trileptal, etc. ~ were basically okay but didn't control my rage, anger, and hostility.
Thank goodness for lithium which is still considered the gold standard drug although many doctors no longer prescribe it because it's a safe, effective, cheap generic that's no longer touted by the houses producing the new *wonder drugs*.
Mind you, that's just my personal opinion...
Take care, kiddo! WCV
Hi; Howie; Just as WCB AS said should do the job, And yes it is very common to use one of the mood stabilizer's along with the Latuda Just remember it well take a while to kick in so try and talk with your doctor as soon as you can. It is very common to use more than one medication with this condition hope you get to feeling better soon. Try and have a good weekend.
