I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend on January 13th. He pulled out before he came. My period was suppose to start January 15th but I didn't realize it was late till two days later on the 17th. I felt like my period was going to start on the 17th but nothing happened so I got worried. I took a Nora-BE as an Emergency Contraceptive Pill that night. Since I felt like my period was coming should I have left the pill alone? Taking the pill once will that mess up my period that's suppose to be happening this week? Should I continue the Nora-BE?
Is Nora Be a morning after pill? All I'm finding is regular birth control pills. One birth control pill is going to do nothing to prevent a pregnancy used that way. And a true morning after pill is only effective if taken without 72 hrs of sex. A period 2 days late isn't worth worrying about but if its a week late, do a pregnancy test. And stop depending on pulling out as a means of birth control, its a myth horny teen boys are spreading. There is sperm deposited in your vagina long before he came. Get yourself on regular birth control and save yourself the worry.
You should have waited to actually see blood before you started the pill. Now that you have started though, keep taking it. It may have delayed your period, yes. If you miss your next scheduled period, you will want to do a pregnancy test. You can actually test now. If it is negative then do continue to take the pills especially if you plan to have sex again in the future. If it is positive, stop of course. Withdrawing the penis before ejaculation does NOT keep you from getting pregnant as men can secrete sperm all through the sex act not just at ejaculation and they have no idea when the sperm secrete. Many men will release a bit of ejaculate before they truly know they are ejaculating so withdrawal is really a chance and not at all any way to prevent pregnancy-it is really a wasted gesture.
