I've been taking birth control (Azurette) for a year now and I always take it at the same time but this month I took a pill three hours late. I had unprotected sex two days before and my period is light this month but it's on the same day as every other months
Three hours shouldn't make any difference at all. The only pill that may effect is the "mini-pill", which I believe is only progesterone and not estrogen. You can call your doctor that prescribes the pill and ask, but from what I know from all the years I've been on the pill, being 3 hours late doesn't increase your chance of getting pregnant. The main reason they say the same time every day is so that you will get into the routine of taking it and don't forget to take your pill every day. Hope this helps you not worry.
