Store in refrigerator until you have to use it. Once you need to use it, you don't put it back in the refrigerator. You now keep it at room temperature for use for 28 days. After 28 days you dispose of it and get another out of the refrigerator.

loris; Yes both of these right always store the backup Insulin of Lantus in the Refrigerator but the one you are using may stay out of the fridge and pay attention to the date you should write on the one you are using 28 days from the day you first used it. And we used to have a lot of people forget to rotate the Insulin in the refrigerator. You don't want to ever use Expired Insulin of any type and you can't take it back.
