Help; Check with the company and many times they have a way to help you out. got to the top of this page and type in Lantus in the search bar and you should get to a section that has some kind of way to reach the company, Or a way to find out ways to get help with your needs. And you can also try the ADA should have a 800 number that is the Diabetic association, Start this as soon as posibble also let your doctor know sometimes they have programs or ways to reach the drug company. That is great advice from chuck, you may also want to google and see if your state has any discounts-most of them do. Google (the name of your state) drug discounts-my state is Arizona so I would google AZ drug discounts and we have several. Some counties also offer drug discounts. There are also a lot of online discount programs like needymeds (dot com) , suddenlysenior (dot com) You can check all these and compare to get the best price. Another thing is to ask your doc for samples-my father has trouble when he is in the "donut hole" and his doc gives him samples to help him through. They may not be able to give you samples enough to always cover you but any little bit helps!
Be sure to read fine print and make sure the discounts can be used in tandem with insurance-some can and some cannot but sometimes I have found that some drugs are cheaper using the discount and forgo putting it through the insurance!
