I take quetiapine but only 25 to help me sleep. I am having more anxiety and get upset over little things, mostly things that say and nobody heard me so I have to repeat or it is not done later on or done wrong. Why do I now get more anxiety now?

You may need an adjustment in dosage to get relief. I would contact the doctor and let him/her know you are still experiencing symptoms of this magnitude. Hang in there and keep advocating for yourself. A mental health condition is not your fault and it can get better.
Hi, Kirsten! Most psychiatric drugs can take 6-8 weeks to reach peak therapeutic levels, but most people start feeling some benefits about now. If you don't start feeling significantly better in the next couple weeks you should notify your doctor. You may need 1) a change of medication, 2) a dosage adjustment, or 3) the addition of another medication.
I know this trial and error is a PIA, but every drug affects every patient differently and it takes some time to fine tune which one works best for you and at what dosage.
Don't worry (hard not to :-)) because this will all sort itself out soon enough. You have everything to look forward to.
Best wishes, WCV
I agree that it's time to contact your Dr. The medicine has had enough time to have helped you at least a little bit by now and you need some relief. You don't mention if you are on any other medications for bipolar disorder so I'm assuming you aren't taking anything else. It's time to get that disorder more under control. Call the Dr. please.
Kirstenv, Yes it's time to check with your doctor if this dose was going to work it would have done more by now and it could just be as much as the doctor increasing it. But don't be surprised it they have to change it. Ther is a lot of trial and error on these medications to find the one that gives you the most relief with the less side effects. Just hang in there and check with your doctor as soon as you can. Chuck1957

I started on 25 for a week then 50 then 75 then in a month I was on 100. It was the worst I had anger and thoughts of why live. Then at 100 it was better. But now a month later I have anxiety over everything 2 or 3 a day. My Dr. Said it will take time. As I live on lorazepam and sleep my days away not any help at home.
