I have Bipolar and OCD. I have been basically been on everything. Zoloft, Epilim, Prozac, Lamictin, Toplep, Serequel, Wellbutrin, Risperdil etc. I can't even remember everything. Lamictin worked the best for me until I sensed that I have memory loss episodes. I'm an ICU PN an cannot have episodes like that, so I stopped it, but since then nothing else worked. Could it maybe have not been the Lamictin and rather something else?
Hello Isaschar. It might be the Lamictin is interacting with another drug/medication you are currently taking. Memory loss/attention span is not at all uncommon to the psychiatric medication of families. Regards pledge
Oh, Man, Lsas. I'm glad you asked me this question because I take Lamictal and I wondered what was causing my memory loss. I thought it was Gabapentin. I was taking 2400 mg and last week reduced it to 1500. I can't wait till I get off that med. I still think it's probably a mixture of both Gab and Lamictal, but I'm not sure. My psych nurse wants me to change all my meds and start over. I started taking 30 mg of cymbalta 4 days ago, and I feel great. I can't believe it. I'm still taking Lamictal. I haven't stopped trembling or ticks yet.
Oh, ya again. Gab is a "Memory Killer" as many of our friends say.
My memory sucks big time. I can say 3 words and I can't remember what I was going to say.
It might be Lamictal and maybe not.
I'm trying to send you a site that might help. Oh, it just worked. Good. It was a good source to find. w.drugs.com/sfx/lamictal-side-effects.html
May you have faith, hope and Love.
