I am reading all of the comments... I have tried many antidepressants in the past with no help, I recently started to see a counselor and psychiatrist. I was first given Topiramate (Topamax) and that actually gave me migraines, so we JUST changed over to Lamictal (Lamotrigine).
How quickly did it take for you guys to notice any changes/effects??? With the Topamax I had migraines within a week, it was horrible.
enicole; Normally you should know how the Lamictal is going to do within 7 to 10 days but you should notice some calming effects pretty much right off which could even help the migraines but this one varies on how fast of a blood level to see how you do it. This one really is more common for bipolar and most do pretty well with it just try and be patient one other thing I don't know how many times you're taking it but whatever it is it helps to take it about the same time of day for each dose to help keep a good blood level. Try and have a good weekend. Chuck1957
