I twisted my knee at a school function. I had an mri done on it and came it came back fine. I have severe pain in my knee right behind my knee cap. I also can not put pressure on it.
Chances are that you pulled the muscles around your knee and your knee is swelling to protect itself. I would prop your knee up above heart level, meaning you lay flat on your back and get your knee above the level of your chest. An ice pack would help, 20 minutes on, 20 minutes off. Ibuprofen, like Aleve or Motrin will help the pain and swelling. Knees take a while to heal since they're a weight-bearing joint so don't expect immediate results. But if the pain becomes worse, or no better at all, after a week or so, I would recommend you make an appointment with an orthopedic dr. Sometimes excess swelling makes damage hard to see. Mild exercise is good, but running or aerobic exercise should be avoided for a while. I hope this helps you somewhat!
