But, unfortunately, no work, no pay. Is it unreasonable for me to think I might be able to drive (not with the replaced knee, of course) and walk with a walker after 3 weeks? I also have a home typing job. How long before I might be able to sit on the side of the bed and type? I'm trying to find this all out ahead of time, or I might not be able to do this
I was off the walker after 3 days after arriving home and used cane for about 2 weeks and was okay to walk on my own after that. I agree with the previous response, don't sit with leg down too long. Ice and elevate to reduce swelling and walk and do your exercises. I am 12 weeks out now and working on getting the needed flexion. Keep your leg moving and not static too long.
