I take klonopin 1mg day and nite. Seroquel 25mg nite and gabapetine 300mg 2xday. And also ambien cr 6.5. I want to get out of ambien since is not working any more. Does the combo above will help to gradually get of ambien?
Klonopin is used by many for sleep. How effective it is depends upon how long you've been taking it. I have been on it for 20 years, so I can take 2-3mg and I am still functioning at 100% Seroquil XR knocked me out within 30 minutes. I could not stay awake if I had to. But I woke easily in the mornings (I also take Trazadone for sleep), which I know can be problematic with 'sleeping pills'. My doc also recommended adding melatonin when I was going through a hard time and wasn't sleeping well. I don't like what I have heard about Ambien, so personally I'd look toward Klonopin or Xanax.
