ramped up and beside himself. At .25 mg of Klonopin twice a day and .50 at night and .25 Ativan prn what can we do. He is 82 with CKD and driving the entire nursing home crazy and starting to keep everyone up. When it finally kicks in he mellows out almost to being semi-comatose.
Klonopin takes 4 hours to kick in. Meanwhile my husband with Alzheimer's is loud, angry?

We took him off Cymbalta 60mg to 30mg over 3 weeks and then to 20mg for 4 weeks and that month is when the problems started. They put him on Klonopin and Paxil which was way to much serotonin with the Buspar. Due to his reaction we took him off the paxil reduced the Klonopin from .50mg 3x a day to the current .25 twice a day and 50mg at night which going to sleep at 8 he is still sleepy at 9 am. Also took him from .50 Ativan 4x daily to .25 Ativan every 4 hrs prn (usually gets it twice a day
