I have been taking 1 mg of Klonopin 1 hour before I take 10 mg. of Restoril and now the sleep doc says I have to "choose" between the two that I'm not supposed to be taking them together? Here's my question/s ... I also have Serax on hand ... does anyone know what the mgs for Serax is vs Klonopin ... My Serax is 10 mg. caps but I wasn't sure what the comparable amount of Klonopin would be? Also, is it bad for me to take the Klonopin and Restoril together ... I'm treating not just my insomnia but periodic limb movement disorder thus the reason I was taking them together as it seemed it was working?
10 mg is an extremly low dose of restoril. By the way, I'm just curious, how are you taking 10 mg anyway? The reason he doesn't want you on both is because they are both benzos and the 2 together can increase the sedative effects, and cause respiratory depression, but I don't think at that dose you'll have a problem. Serax is also a benzo, so I don't know if he'd be any happier with it. It is shorter acting then klonopin tho.
