Hi, I'm on 0.5mg of klonopin 3x a day and it's going ok but I'm still having issues with my phobias and just constant anxiety/irrational fears and stuff. How do you know when your klonopin is working and you're on the right dose? Im seeing a new doctor next week and am hoping she can help me tweak it to work as this dosage is kind of low compared to what I've been on on the past. I'm sure plenty of you started low and increased to a dose that has worked for months of years and I want to know how you knew or know when it's working correctly and you're on the right dose.
Hi cwake & welcome to the site. I have listed below in blue the dosage reccomendations for klonopin. You need to discuess this with your doctor if your dose is not helping you. It may be that you need another med added to help. Wishing you the best... https://www.drugs.com/dosage/klonopin.html
hi cwake, so sorry to hear that you are feeling poorly. First, what kind of doctor are you seeing? Is it your PCP? In general, PCP's don't really give you very high dosages of those kinds of medications. Same thing with antidepressants and other psychotropic medications. The kind of doctor the you need to see for these things is a psychiatrist. Also I'm wondering if anxiety is your only problem. It seems as if you are suffering from OCD, as anxiety/irrational fears are also an OCD problem also. You need to tell the doctor what is happening with you. Only YOU know how you are feeling, because what might be a low dose for you, might send another person into lala land and not function. Best wishes to you, and I hope that you feel better soon.
