Thank u for ur response, I'm suppose to take .25 twice a day everyday.my concern is it gonna make me feel weird, I already feel crazy I dnt want to feel worse!!! So u think I should take it at night but I work at night... N plus I hv a phobia about taking pills so I dnt knw Wut to do or how yo do this, but I'm desperate now.. I knw this sounds crazy as hell n Thts y I'm reaching out for some caring kind heart who understand Wut I'm going thru to talk me thru this. Cause where I live dnt nobody understand these kind of problems!!!
If I use the brand name for the med my post will no go thu. I take 1 mg of Clonazepam for anxiety & it helps a lot. It also helps me to sleep so I take it at nite. The .25 mg is a very low does so I would not be afraid. However, it's best not to take every day (if possible) even though I do. Usually Clonazepam is started at .5 mg. The bad stories are when people take it for a long time at high doses.
bluali; Don't panic listen to wantobe; she has a good answer, And the dose your starting on is a small dose so it won't make you crazy but it should calm you down some so you can see things clearer. Sometimes the first dose may feel stronger because you have never taken it before. Then just try and take it as prescribed by the doctor with this dose you should not have to worry about getting hooked on them but you never just stop this medication without having the doctor taper you off if you're taking it regular for about a week and you notice it's helping then you can decide to try and just take the one pill and use the second pill if you need it during the day. just keep you doses about 6 hours apart and don't take more than 2 a day as the doctor has said. You have to work at this not taking the medication because you are scared they well not help you. And your doctor is doing the right thing by taking the low dose because you're sensitive to medications. good luck. Chuck1957
bluali; I think I got a friend request from you, for now, I just put it in a file until this darn website well let me friend people. So don't think I just did not want you in my friend list it's really nice because you can ask a private question if you don't want it posted or Im each other but it has not worked for me in a long time. So for now just mention my name or just comment on something that I have answered and I well get it in an Email. That you are trying to talk to me. Anyway as far as the Klonopin or clonazepam goes what I do is I always start my new medication when I don't have to go somewhere just to see how it affects you.But don't judge on the first dose when we start a new medication it may seem stronger than it well when you have taken it for a couple days. So once you know how it affects you. It's pretty easy to figure out what time to take it for your night shift.
And glad the doctor is smart enough to give you the lowest dose to start with the less we can get by on the better and being med phobic I know how that feels. What is good about the others you mention Xanax is fast acting but for me it does not last long enough, Ativan is very close But Clonazepam.has a longer life to it so it works longer in our system but not so strong that it knocks you out. Then you well know what time to take your night dose. Also, if you are worried about taking it DO IT you can break this tablet and try 1/2 tablet the first time and see how long that last you But just make sure you never go over a number of tablets the doctor says to take in one day. but figure normal is about 6 hours apart you should have no problems. But like I said it's always a good idea to try it when your home to see how it works for you it's not a knockout pill just takes the edge off of things. You well be fine trust me. Have a great Sunday, my friend. But as I said they do no good sitting in the bottle and there is no reason to suffer more than we do.LIFE GETS BETTER. ps Keep your pills where nobody can see them even at home to many people know what these are and you don't want them coming up missing. bluali; let's just comment on this new part that I'm starting now..any comments we well talk off of this one I get confused. Congratulations you at least started to try the medications and someone should have told you not to drink at all for now.Once your system gets used to this medication I'm taking the Clonazepam only don't use any of the others like the XANAX OR OTHER UNLESS YOUR DOCTOR SAYS TO. it would be a lot like drinking with it. The reason it hit you so hard the beer is that was the very first dose of Clonazapam you have ever taken and like I said the good reason to take just 1/2 tablet to start now about the evening dose.
Less the BEER LOL did it make you really tired or anything like that where you think it would affect your work or driving if not it would be fine to take it like a half hour before you go into work you well notice if it does make you a little tired then wait and take it about 3 to 4 hours before you go to work because you are taking just half the dose right the 1/2 tablet to start and when you feel it's helping you can start the whole tablet but make any dose increases in the morning and for a few days I always start new medication when I have nothing that I have to do that day like a day off so if it knocks me out or makes me feel a bit off all is good because your home and safe. And don't have to go to work.Correct me if I'm wrong but your doctor said it was okay to take 1 tablet 2 times a day RIGHT but I said to start with 1/2 tablet to start to get your system used to it So trust me if you feel it's working good leave it at 1/2 tablet for 3 to 5 days until your body and mind get used to it and if it seems to not calm down the anxiety as much then it's time to increase it to the full 1 tablet. But as far as how close to taking it when you're going to work you have to figure that out on how it is affecting you.If your not getting any type weird feeling or high like feeling then you should be able to take it just as you going to work.I hope I'm not confusing you, buddy, but for now, I would say keep it at least 6 hours apart from when you took your first dose of the day.and when you feel it is not helping as much then take the full tablet but do any adjustments when you don't have to go anywhere just to see how it affects you.And like I have said the first or second dose always hit us a little harder until our system gets used to it. You are going to be just fine. And this does not mean later you won't be able to have a beer from time to time later it won't hit you like it did on your first dose. but always keep any alcohol LATER A FULL 8 HOURS AWAY FROM THE CLONAZEPAM DOSE. just a good idea and don't feel dumb because you had that beer US MEN ARE THE WORST about seeing doctors and drink to take away these feeling, not a good practice but we fee we are strong and don't need help. BS glad you know now if I missed anything let me know. but follow the directions on the bottle never go over the amount the doctors say but depending on the medication like this one it is safe to take less to start. there is no reason to suffer now days keep in touch.
