It is melatonin. That is a chemical your brain makes that helps you sleep. A lot of us don't seem to have enough of it, so we take it to sleep. I have taken it taken it for years. You have to be cautious with it if you're on anti depressants because it can contribute to serotonin syndrome. In the USA it is marketed as melatonin, in Mexico it is cronocaps.
