The weight loss clinics all prescribe adipex which I can't take. I am about 60 pounds overweight.
It's always best to start with your GP for a referral. Also many non med things can be done to lose weight, as many are unaware of the body's amazing ability to burn fat (not calories) all on it's own, my manipulating what we intake, when we intake and how much. Eliminating all forms of sugar,artificial sweeteners, caffeine, gluten, proper hydration, etc. all help the metabolism burn fat. Most meds may help a little, more than likely the weight comes back because it's the lifestyle change that keeps it off. Anyway, just sayin'
