my current medication is controlling my tonic-clonic seizures however the medication can't control my partial seizures. because of this my doctor wanted to add another medication, he gave me a list of a few medications and told me to look them over if I was interested in adding another medication. Keppra is one that I am interested in trying but I'm worried about how it will react with my current medication
Hi, I've had Epilepsy with Grand Mal Seizures for 12 years now, I've tried numerous different
anti-convulsants but my seizures are still uncontrolled. What medications are u currently on for ur seizures? I'm on Lamictal & Kepra & I find Kepra very good, there's no adverse reaction with the Lamictal. I was on Dilantin for a long time & I found it pretty useless! I would try Kepra if I were u, it's a relatively new drug & so is Lamictal, have u tried Lamictal? Kepra & Lamictal seems to be a good combination, they work well together. My seizures still aren't controlled but I've had no adverse reactions from combining these 2 drugs. I'd have a go, u really have nothing to lose, good luck!☺️
I've been taking Keppra with Lamictal and Topamax for about 35 years now and have had no side effects from them being combined. But that is just in one person's body. It all depends on the person's body and metabolism. But of all the people I know from when I was a member of the Epilepsy Foundation, no one I knew ever complained of this.
