Feeling a little nasuea. Sometimes I like to have an occasional drink of alcohol but it states not to does anyone no why and have u tried alcohol on Lyrica?
Hello benjisgirl. Drinking alcohol along with Lyrica can interfer with your central nervous system. And it will increase the effects of the alcohol, you know, impair your judgement in driving a car, operating machinery. I'd not mix the two. Theres always also the real possiblity of your body having a severe side effect (negative). Having said that, you might ask your doctor or pharmacist, what they think.best wishes to you,
I have been on Lyrica and Nucynta(narc pain med) for post shingle neuralgia and wondered the same thing. I couldn't figure out why my pain got worse after I had a few beers-then I read an article online that alcohol stimulates the nerves and consequently increases the pain!!! So ..that is why I don't drink alcohol now- it's not worth the pain!!! cj
