Are there any supplaments besides b 12. That can help me? Heard of something like a caffeen pill but prescribed and non addicting or carsenagen.
I take Provigil for lack of energy and excess drowsiness. It is a medication and not a supplement, but it is the best I've found. I would stay away from the cafinee supplements. I've tried some, and they made me very shaky. Some also caused nausea. Paxil is another medicine that can help with increasing energy level. Paxil is primarily used as a depression medication, but it was given to me to help my lack of energy. It worked well. The best help for lack of energy is periodic exercise, but the catch is always... how can I exercise when I am so tired all the time? If you are able to afford a Wii, amazingly, playing the tennis and bowling games can help get you started with regular exercise. Who would have thought?
I've heard of a medication called Provogil which is supposed to help with energy, but it's expensive. It may be worth it to you though.
You need to get your doctor to put you on Armour or at the VERY least T3. When you have your thyroid removed it makes it almost impossible to switch from T4 (storage hormone) to T3 (active hormone) and another thing you need is the STTM book. It'll help you with your questions. And join as many groups as you can that address your specific questions.
