I jus put my nuvaring in i only been on it for 4days nd my bf came in me do u.. think im pregant? Or do you think im ok. I just start nuvaring in the middle of october i kinda of dont like it
It is safe depending on when you put it in during your menstruation cycle. If you put it in the first day of your cycle, you're fine. If you put it in at any other time, you're supposed to wait a week, and you only waited four days. But as long as you aren't ovulating it should be alright. I would check that, though.
Like the other poster said, if you started it day 1 of your period, you are protected right away. If you started it at any other time than say 1 then you are supposed to use back up protection for the first seven days. If you were supposed to wait a week and you didnt, that doesnt automatically mean that you are pregnant. Chances are best actually that you wont be. That is not to say that you shouldnt protect yourself. There is a reason they tell you to wait because the possibility for pregnancy exists and is much higher then once your device is active and working. You have about a 25-30% chance for pregnancy anytime you have unprotected sex. You have about 3-4 days each month in which you are fertile. The rest of the month, you are not fertile. The trick is trying to figure out when you are ovulating. The are ovulation predicting apps and charts but these are based on "averages" and almost everyone is NOT average.
Even in women who track and chart their ovulation days, every now and then out of the blue, their body becomes irregular and they ovulate at an unexpected time so predicting ovulation is a very tricky process. So what all this means is that you have a 70-75% chance for NOT being pregnant. You'll just have to wait and see if your period comes when it is due and if it doesnt, then you'll need to do a pregnancy test. There is not much more that can be done at this point. It is important to read all the directions and precautions with ANY medication but especially on birth control to be sure you are taking it right and understand the precautions and limitations of your prescribed method. None of them are 100% effective but they can be 98-99.9% effective if you use them perfectly.
Well did you just put it in 4 days ago or the middle of october. They aren't the same time. If you've been using it since the middle of october you're protected. If you just started it 4 days ago, and it wasn't the first day of your period, then you were not protected. Why do you like kinda of not like it?
