Also, with the Dr saying 3 of the kidney panels of lab tests perform show abnormal results & keytones in my urine. I just read Januvia may cause kidney problems requiring dialysis to which have been reported. Dr said I'm at high risk for dialysis & wants me to take this medication. Wouldn't this increase the risk of dialysis? I'm scared to get it filled & still only taking the Metformin 100mg which isn't producing enough insulin with my body. What about Bydureon? I was reading on that - is injectable 1x a week. Anyone here on that as well?
Remember that the Doctor will have a good understanding of medicines and may have other reasons for you to take it. But in your position it never hurts to get another opinion.Talk to your Doctor again and have him explain the medicines. But I would not stop the metformin your diabetes medicine. Good Luck

I ran out of metformin 1000mg 2x. Should I increase my dose of glipizide 10 mg 1x a day to 2x a day?
