... surgery will it interfere with the anesthsia or post op pain meds?
SANDIJOH - No, there should be no problems at all with the anesthesia, but you may have built up a little tolerance to pain medication/narcotics. However, you didn't have any withdrawal from Subox., so maybe not. Lucky you. Of course, you should always run everything by the anesthesiologist, even natural herbs and over the counter meds. Good luck with surgery!
Dear Sandijoh... you should be fine... the suboxone should be out of your system... and yes I am with cetterferge... lucky you if you did not have any wd from the suboxone if you were not one a high dosage... I hope I am that lucky when i start weaning next month from my 2 mg.
As you know you need to be very careful with the pain meds. I am assuming you were on the suboxone because of opiate issues. Make sure you have someone from your support group be aware that you are going to be on pain meds to keep you accountable. Otherwise you will fall into that addiction to pain meds again... i am assuming that this was your issue as to why you were on the suboxone... if not, I then apologize.
Good luck with your surgery. I am also undergoing a painful procedure tomorrow and I am having to face the same situation. As soon as I am allowed to be on toradol I will switch to that... good luck...
