I've started taking Seroquel XR to compliment Seroxat for anxiety. I've been on about 75mg (taken at night) for a couple of weeks now and I definitely notice an improvement in my anxiety which is good. The side effects appear to be tiredness and slight weight gain. I'm wondering does anyone have experience of taking this for anxiety for a lengthy period of time? Does it remain effective at the lower dose and how are the side effects? I'm hoping that the side effects will go!!
I take seroruel-quetiapine, for about 4 years 300mg pm, and yes when you wake uo you feel like you have been run over by a truck.-
It is a great med by the way, it has helped me vey much.
It will wear off for you, you are only on two meds, and low dose of seroquel.
In my case I take five different meds which interact among them, making the seroquel side effect stronger for me, plus I am on a much higher dosage.

Take care, you will be fine.
Maso basically answered your question for you, but I just have a few things to add. I just went to my doctors and told him my Psychiatrist game me Seroquel XR 50mg samples and he was slightly mad. "Doctors are handing it out like candy without realizing all the horrible side-effects that can come along with it." Doctors in my area prescribe it to people for sleep since its non-addictive. But my dumbass Psychiatrist gave me 50mg XRs [Too low of a dose and extended-release. I'm definately switching Psychs]
My doctor was getting at the heart risks and the possible development of diabetes.
